Anyone own either? How are they? I may be buying the truck for me and Escort for my son.

my dad bought an 84 escort, lasted forever.....i dont know about the new ones though... as with any used car there will be risk. I would say that the escort is a good start for your son, and the truck sounds ok... those trucks are all over if they wernt good, they would not sell many id say good choices

I have a 99 escort, and it has been a good car, cheap to maintain. Just take the car to be checked by a mechanic, and change the timing belt if it has not been changed (mine wasn't changed and I have learnt that you have to do it in ALL used cars).

DON'T BUY THE ESCORT. They are high maintenance, don't last long, and used cars usually come with some kind of mechanical difficulty.
