I have a recipe for candy corn that makes 1 3/4 lb of the candy. Just for your info... it contains:
1 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
2/3 cup white corn syrup
and of course the other ingredients, but this kind of gives you an idea of the crazy amounts of sugar in these classic candies...

1/2 cup of candy corn is equal to 22 teaspoons of sugar. And as a bonus candy corn salt water taffy, for each 7 pieces it contains 23g of sugar! In case if you were wondering, because this taffy rocks!! It tastes like candy corn, and it rules!!

I'm pretty sure candy corn is at least 98% sugar.

So high, that stuff just won't fly. Don't ask me why, but I can't lie, so it is time for me to say goodbye.
