Why do you think that the bible is true and that the Qur'an isn't? Both Islam and Christianity supposedly have miracles attributed to them, so why do you choose one person's word over another?

If it is all a matter of 'faith', than why do you have faith that Christianity is right and not oh I don't know, Islam?

What proof do you have except that, this book is written by god, I know it's written by god because it says it is, I know it's telling the truth because it's always right, it's always right because it's written by god...

What does Jesus have over Krishna? And how do you know he is god on earth, and not Krishna?

No I'm not kidding... And yes, Muhammad's testimony is no better than Joseph smith's, but why should Jesus be considered more authentic than either of the aforementioned?

I see, so you trust that the Bible is the word of god, and that the Qur'an isn't the word of god... Did you take a writing class with god? How do you know what is his style and what isn't?

Prophecy Proof. Over 90% of its prophecy has come true already. The other is yet to come (not failed). Great record.

I have studied the Qur'an in college and Islam and Christianity have the same God just different versions. God presented himself to the people of this earth three times and in those three times in three different ways. So to say that Islam is wrong or Christianity is wrong is senseless because the beliefs of both come from the same God. The bible and the Qur'an are by the same God but very different times. If you wrote a book now and then wrote a book two million years from now don't you think that it would be different. Things change over time and you would have to approach the same thing that you wrote about two million years ago in a different perspective two million years later.

Your question makes sense, and the answer is obvious--that all faith is relative. But what is your point? Do you think Christians should discard their faith? Should I not love my family because someone else holds their family just as dear? Should I not love my home because everyone has a different one? Someone once asked Ghandi, "What religion should I follow?" and Ghandi responded, "Follow the religion of your father." I think there is great wisdom in this. While all the world may be a swirling soup of disparate realities, there must be some underlying order, some ultimate balance. If you happened to be born to a Mormon family, taught Mormon prayers, and have Mormonism etched in your memory from childhood, then, as long as nothing comes along to bounce you in a different direction, it probably makes sense to embrace Mormonism as a religion that you can live and die with. Why does that bother you? Are you fighting an inner battle between a part of yourself that can't shake a Christian identity, and another part that wants to rebel against it? If so, good! That's part of the spiritual journey, questioning, wrestling, and working out your faith. Welcome to spirituality. I suggest you do a little praying and meditating, and see what happens.

>Why do you think that the bible is true and that the Qur'an isn't? Both Islam and Christianity supposedly have miracles attributed to them, so why do you choose one person's word over another?

Thje internal and external evidence of the Scriptures; the consistency of the message in the N.T., the centuries of evidence, the testimony of the early Church, the affirmation of the Creeds, exp. prior to 500 AD.

>If it is all a matter of 'faith', than why do you have faith that Christianity is right and not oh I don't know, Islam?

Evidence, together with Faith.

>What proof do you have except that, this book is written by god, I know it's written by god because it says it is, I know it's telling the truth because it's always right, it's always right because it's written by god...

Jesus existed from the Beginning; Jesus became Incarnate; provided Atonement on the Cross ("delvered for our offences"), rose the third day from among the dead ("raised for our Justification". After 40 days of appearances, He ascended into Heaven and is exalted at the place of honour.

Which of those things has Krishna done?

The Bible to correct you my dear wasn't written by "god". The first five books. Genesis, Numbers, Leviticus, Exidus, and Dueternomy were written by Moses. Psalms was written by King David. Solomon was Written by King Solomon. The prophetic books were written by Isaiah. The new testament gosples were written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The book of acts was written by Peter, the rest of the NT was written mostly by Paul.

Why people choose one over the other is based on the person. Its not to be descirminatory or judgemental, but its a choice of free will. The Old Testament is to be looked at more as prophecy and history. The NT is the biograpy of Jesus's life and of the way to achieve salvation.

Jesus and Krishna can't compare because Krishna isn't known as the Son of God. God being the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The islamic people have a firm history that substantiates their beliefs, but if you are christian, why would you be islamic because they worship idols and many Gods. God himself said, you shall have no other god's before me. Plain and simple.

If you really want evidence of the Bible's validity and God's existence check out a book "Evidence That Demands A Verdict".

What does Jesus have over Krishna? Well most other religions have a leader that died and still lies in a grave. Jesus's tomb is empty because He rose again. Who do you know that would die for you? Jesus did.

Hope you find some good answers.

muhammad is not prophecised in the Bible as muslims claim. The qur'an is different than what muhammad delivered. The hadith tells us how the stories in the koran came to be in one book. Large differences were noticed. so the final version was edited, released to the world. and all compelling copies were ordered destroyed. There you have the miracle of the koran! the earliest koran dates 800 AD. No ancient copies dating before 750 AD are found anywhere on earth. Prove me wrong if you can. Islam is a religion in which God requires you to send your son to die for Him. Christianity is a Faith in which God sent His Son to die for you!.

look, I don't have any evidence that I could show you to make you believe me. I was brought up as a Christian, and honestly I don't know much about Islam. All I know is that I believe in God, and have seen miracles happen, and know he's there in my life. I can't give you any physical evidence, because it's spritual. Believe what you will, but I know that God is the one and true God, because I know he's here with me right now. There are things, however, like marine fossils and seashell fossils found on mountains, obvious evidence of the great flood. I am not that knowledgable about all this, I just know that I believe in God and you can't change that.

Can you accept, you have your belief, we have ours? Different way of worship, different name, same God?

In our Bible, in Genesis 11:7> Go to, let us go down, and there confound there language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8> So the Lord scattered them abroad thence upon the face of all the Earth:

With God scattering man across the face of the Earth, it is possible that the different Religions are still worshiping the same God, just differently? We have the Bible, you have the Qur'an.

Because Jesus said, "my sheep know my voice, they will not follow the voice of a stranger". Have I read the bible? Yes. His voice. Have I read (some) of the Koran? Yes. Not His voice. Have I read other "religious" writings (i.e., the Book of Mormon), yes. Not His voice.

You can mock, laugh, ridicule, give thumbs down, whatever you like. But God says, only those with the spirit of God, can discern the things of God. I do have that spirit, through faith in Jesus Christ, and I know my Shepherd's voice.
