I was driving home from work and this lady in her 60s was pulling out to pass a truck. Then, she simply stayed next to the truck! After a few minutes and honking from me and several other drivers, the trucker tried to speed up so we could get around her but she sped up and stayed beside the truck. This went on for a while and when I tried to pass, she almost pulled into me and veered back without so much as an acknowledgement of what happened. I happened to pull beside her at the light coming off the freeway and I looked over at her open window to my right. I grabbed me almost full Large Taco bell cup of Pepsi and shouted 'Hey, *****!' And I lobbed it over the roof of my car and it hit her shoulder and burst all over her and the inside of her car! She started crying. I didn't actually think I would hit her but I was so surprised I said 'WAH HAHAHA! Peace out!'. Who was in the wrong?

I feel it was self defense

I think most people have wanted to do something like that, at one time or another and it makes for happy thoughts instead of actually carrying out the deed. Which is what I think happened here also. Good story but it would have been better if it was a man instead. There is no honor real or imagined in doing that to a little old lady.

Look, the lady may not have been driving properly, possibly unsafely... but it sounds like after you got angry, you weren't driving very safely either, so that made you two equally wrong... then you committed ASSAULT... yes, throwing something at someone, especially in anger, is assault. So even though she may have committed some slight traffic violations (one or two that I can think of) you committed a crime. What's more, since you committed the crime over a traffic incident, it was "road rage" which in many states now is a FELONY!!! so, over some silly driving thing, and your impatience, you may have committed a felony, are certainly guilty of a misdemeanor, and just added to the problem, because after you were done, she was a nervous wreck on top of being a so-so driver and you endangered other people's lives. Nice going, idiot. You deserve a little jail time, and she deserves an apology.

You were definitely wrong.Your talking about a 60 yr. old woman, who's reaction time is nothing like you might think it should be.You let road rage get the best of you.You as well as the other drivers neglected to consider the fact that she was frightened by the horn blowing. That is probably why she almost ran into you.She did nothing to deserve what you did to her.So as far as self defense, you assaulted her,she never touched your car,she never touched you, didn't even call you names.Yes you were wrong and you really need to ashamed of what you did.The assault was when you hit her with that cup.It was thoughtless and cruel. Not to mention, you made her cry.As far as I'm concerned, your the *****.

I drive for a living. If some jerk like you were to do that in front of me, you'd be asking this question of a judge. There's no place on the highway for that to happen. I've had people run beside me and I usually slow down so they can get by. She probably had her cruise set at the speed limit and so did the trucker. Get over it and slow down for a while. Live longer and enjoy the day.

Look, that story is hilarious. I respect what you did, it takes a lot of courage to fight back and I mean this seriously. If a driver nearly hits me i like to speed up, pull in front of them and then toss a cup, taco bell was an excellent choice, up behind you so that it hits their windshield. Thank you for this.

It was assault on your part, despite the minor way she disturbed you (oh, impatient king).. She should have called the police on her cell phone.

How would you feel if someone did that to your mother, and what would you recommend should happen to him?

Let me add something here. It was also very COWARDLY of you to attack an old woman. Is this your style? What if that would have been Mike Tyson in the next car - would you have done that to him? How would you like to go a round or two with me, punk?

you over reacted. You should think about you action first. The old lady was wrong for driving badly, but you could have just yelled something or wrote down her license and called her in a a bad driver.

No offense but you over reacted and i know she did mess up but come on that was a little harsh! You could have like just told her that she was doing that and she would have realized her mistake and not do it again. But dont feel bad about it (not that much but do feel that it was not the right thing to and dont do it again) becasue it you both made a mistake so everybody's record is clean. But rem. getting revenge is not always the right thing to do sometimes u have to forgive and forget it maybe hard but its worth it. I hope u've realized ur mistake.

Yes, you over-reacted. The elderly have pecular ideas of what constitutes safe driving, partly because much of their driving experience is from a less crowded, less hectic time and partly due to confused, ill-informed, or out-dated driving stratagies. Cut them some slack. Someday you may be in your 60's and just as oblivious as the lady you doused.

Apart from your actions being extremely immature and not to mention cruel, you could have caused an accident if the Pepsi had startled her. Just because someone else is driving badly, you don't need to exacerbate the problem. I've got one word for you: karma.
