Ok... we all know that one of the ten commandments is Thou shall not steal. But i think i found a loophole! Online Piracy involves no actual Theft whatsoever, merely copying. There isnt a commandment that says, "Thou shall not disobay thy government" So i gotta believe god beleives in P2P! I dont think its morally wrong at all to take from ginormus money sucking corporations.

"God" is fake, so I don't see how he/she/it could hate anything :)

Illegal copying of copyrighted matierals IS theft.
And as an INDIVIDUAL (not a giant corporation) who has spent most of his life producing copyrighted works to earn a living, I can assure you you're stealing from people like ME -- and I resent it.
Even if a property (like a movie) is managed by a giant corporation, the creators (director, actors, producers, etc.) get a share of the profits, so you're stealing from THEM.
You're a thief, plain and simple. And there's no justification for stealing from other people...no matter what you might think your made-up god said or didn't say.

Nubins: it's not a gray area, it's theft. Copyrights exist to allow the creators of a work (song, movie, play, photograph, etc.) to profit from their creation. Using it without paying for it takes profit away from the creator of the work, is stealing the work from the creator of it, and under the law is theft just as much as stealing a car is. Black and white.

Remember GOD does not hate anything or anyone. God is all forgiving. Even though you do wrong God still loves you. Though to get in heaven you have to be right of heart, those who do wrong that dont become right of heart will not enter heaven. Non the less God still loves you.

So, if God doesn't say it's wrong, then you're fine? God says you can own slaves. So that's fine too? What if God and the gov't disagree? Do you think you can get away with it because your God said it's fine?

Edit : sure, I copy music online. But I don't try to justify it saying 'god would have wanted it', I know it's illegal.

I don't know if you are correct but it is definitely a gray area because your aren't actually stealing anything.
