Talk to your mother. Let her know that your husband is coming home from Iraq and you want to be able to spend quality time with him because you haven't seen him for a while. Perhaps you could offer her to stay at a relatives' place or a hotel/motel for a few days.

Say, "Ma, I love you, but I want to be alone with my man. He's been gone a long time and we have a lot of catching up to do. We need some time alone and he needs some alone time to get back to home life." I'd think your Mom would be leaving voluntarily under the circumstances.

She should be excited for you that you are finally going to get to be with your husband. She should offer to leave on her own without having to be asked. But if she doesn't just start dropping hints about how long it's been since you've seen him and how you just can't wait to get to be alone with him.

Send her to a hotel/resort where they have a Spa. I'm sure that won't hurt her feelings.
