If you are an home-schooler or are seriously interested in the option of education at home for your family please respond. I love answering legitimate questions about home-school and will be happy to start a group for people to come to with your questions. Any and all of the veteran homeschool people are welcome to join and provide their own answers. We shouldn't abandon this Yahoo Answers forum but we will create a friendly environment for further serious questions from anybody that truly wants to know what we know.

Any method of home-education is fair game for questions and answers -- arguing and disputing is not an option.

Hmmm. At home college students -- I'll have to consider it on a case by case basis. Membership will be limited to true homeschoolers -- preferably families --- you can send me a "resume" about yourself. Are you supportive of K-12 home-educated families?

I too am a member of many groups on Yahoo. This one will not be so much of a chatty group... I'm envisioning a "spring board" type starting point where each of us that have done homeschooling can help newcomers to get started and direct them to the many resources and groups that will be of help to their continued efforts...... (sorry it's wordy -- I hope I'm making sense.)

we'll definitely talk about the issues that come up. My hope is to keep it productive and not a gripe-board. The best thing in the world is to help others.

Sounds great to me. I just went and signed up. This is our first year homeschooling our 4 children. I am also a member of several other groups, but I love talking to other people!

Sounds like a great idea. I know on here some great information gets lost because so many people come to this particular area to ask about homework or job interviewing skills or computers or cell phones or, or, or, or.......
I, too, have joined many yahoo groups, but alot of times there's just really no meat, so it would be great to have a true resource like this out there that is focused on truly helping someone.
I was considering starting a group for "regulars" and actual homeschoolers on this forum to be able to get together and chat about topics that come up on here, but I don't know if anyone would be interested in that.
Maybe i should ask a question.......
Still, great idea!

I would be very interested in being a part of a group of other homeschoolers. Does this include all aspects of homeschooling like eclectic (unschooling) too? I have a 4 1/2 yr old daughter and I am homeschooling her and plan on continueing it thru her entire education up to college. I am interested to see how many people come on here that homeschool too. I look forward to seeing questions and asking them myself

I already belong to nearly a dozen homeschool Yahoo! groups, so I don't think I'd be interested in another one. Thanks for asking, though!
