You didn't provide a lot of information, so it's really difficult to help. There are many things that could cause this. She could have just got stuck on the bed and not be able to get down, as chihuahuas are tiny and sometimes aren't able to jump a lot. Consider spying on her, see if she can always jump up and down when seh wants to, and consider getting her those doggy steps you see at the pet stores to help her get up and down. She could also be scent marking or claiming her territory, espeically if she is attached to you or is used to sleeping in your bed a lot (making it her territory). Clean the area thoroughly and that should help. Of course clean your sheets and that sort of normal hygene. She could also be marking where she smells other scents from a humans that have been in the bed, in which you should clean the bed throughly. She could just be mad at you, and taking it out on you in the best way that she knows how, especially if somethign has upset her lately. Or she could be hormonally unbalanced, and not in her right mind, especially if she is not spayed (think PMS). She very easily could be bored, upset, or confused. Try workign with her, giving her a new toy to play with or something fun to do during the day when she's bored. There are hundreds of toys made now that help relieve bordem in pets, products like Kongs ( http://www.kongcompany.com/ ) and similar type toys, and the new Hide-a-toy toys like the Kyjen I-Qube Dog Toy ( http://www.dog.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=311213+LG&Cat=Dog%20Toys ). Such toys work the mind and make the dog think for their reward instead of just getting a reward for doing nothing. Try working on obedience lessons with her. If she is already trained in the basics (sit, come, stay) than try refreshing them once a day, teach her a trick or some other mental stimulation, and take her on a walk (on leash) to the park or around the block. Such activities cannot hurt, and they may solve the problem.

Be consistant and persistant in training her, try to catch her in the act so that you can correct her at that moment. You cannot correct her minutes or hours later after shes done it, she won't remember what she did and just think your mean. Never hit her, just scold her verbally with a firm, strong voice. Also, make sure she has an adequate place to potty, and taht you are taking her out regularly if she is trained to go outside. If she is trained to potty inside, make sure you keep it clean and available.

There is a helpline you can call for questions like this. You may consider asking their advice. The information is at http://www.doglitter.com and hopefully they can help you better than we can.

If nothing works after all of this, buy a child's gate or a baby gate and block her out of that room. They're usually pretty cheap, under $50, and a chihuahua probably couldn't get over one easily.

My dog will do this if he gets mad at me. There is nothing more aggrovating! I try to shut my door when I leave the house so that he can't get to my bed, since that seems like the only place he will do that. I don't know what to tell you to do to stop it though. Good luck.

She's mad at you about something. Have you been leaving her alone more than usual? A new dog in the house?

My cat used to do that when she was mad at me for some reason....or wasn't spending enough time with her. Just like kids, they will do anything for some attention...good or bad attention.
