Since I stopped smoking I can't stop coughing. I wonder what's up.

I have been told it's a normal reaction - think of all the guck you have built up in your lungs from smoking. Since you stopped, you are beginning to use more of your lung capacity and now you are having to hack up what is making it hard for you to breathe.

Good Luck!

Your age can be a factor. Seeing a doctor is a good idea. How long have you smoked? It may be your body's way of getting rid of the bad stuff.

Congrats on quitting! Trying to do the same here!

its fine to cough a lot in the beginning if one has just stopped smoking but if it still persists, you should go consult a doctor. anyway, good job for being able to kick the habit. =)

It is normal and should go away in a few weeks. If it does not see your doctor.
