In response to a question that was basicaly : the world is pretty why don't you belive god designed it.
Here is the best "point" one can score against aethists. We don't know. We have a few theories, so far most of us ( i think, i could be wrong ) go with the big bang. Is it an unalterable fact? No. It is only a "fact" because at this point nothing has been able to prove more likely. We (aethists) manage to accept we don't know everything. We strive to learn. We would love to know the begining of it all. But being rational beings cannot help but respond to I.D. as nothing but a veiled attempt at creationism. Which is founded on Faith not science. True science can and often does change daily, but we are willing to accept change to grow. Christians / Muslims / Hindus / all other religeons refuse to deviate from the idea of a spiritul realm that depends holy on Faith. we grow and change, whilst the relgeous grow inward and twist like vipers at themselves with there "interpretations.

Some of the wording here would kill XD. Whoever answered can't spell :D
You've probably heard it said before that the difference between Atheists and those who choose religion is faith. Faith is just an opinion. Going down as far as I can understand it, all things operate on the concept that nothing can be proven. Like the reply suggests, our beliefs as to what is "true" change based on science's latest developments. Not all Atheists believe the same parts of science are true - personally I have no clue about anything in that respect - but for instance whether enzymes fit only to very particular substrates or can change slightly to accomodate others would be one. Some scientists choose to believe one way, or the other. In the end, we all choose to believe one way or the other - in the case of this question, whether God created the world or not.
So basically, "why don't you believe god designed the world?". I just don't. That's the best answer :) It's a quick way of saying "well I've weighed the evidence that suggests he did and that he didn't and based on such and such, I think he didn't." I *think* - there you go.

I think the person who wrote it doesn't spell very well...but makes some very good points.
Why does something have to be "created" by someone to be "pretty?" Beauty is in the eye of the beholder -- and it only stands to reason that we would think the place we love is pretty, it's all we really know. People love their hometowns (and often think they're "nice" or "pretty") even if it's a disgusting slum -- 'cause it's THEIR disgusting slum.
Look at it this way: there is no evidence to show that there was ever a "creator" (and no, the bible isn't "evidence" since it's not repeatable, verifiable, or testable), and no evidence that there was ever a need for one. We have found processes of nature and biology that can account for how the earth formed, how life arose, how it evolved into all the wonderfully complex forms we have, and how it continues to change. Are there things we still don't "know" scientifically? Of course. But not knowing something doesn't mean that god had anything to do with it, it just means we don't know. For much of the things we DO know today, all it required to go from not knowing to knowing was time and study. The same is true for things we still don't know -- with time and study we'll figure them out, no need to attribute them to supernatural causes for which there is no evidence.

They could score equal points by saying that the Earth is flat and balanced on 3 turtles, there is no more point in trying to argue w. that 'theory' if the person has blind faith in it.
The poetic bit of your answer at the end is rather unnecessary and the unprovable Big Bang 'fact' is not a fact, just another theory.

Im no athiest but i came attacking them with "us" being the most superior species on this planet, obviously for some reason. but some actually think we arent the most "superior" species on earth, anyway to your point, u are right we do twist and writh sometimes within our own interpretations, BUT thats the beauty of it, we still have our own style and own choice even in the spiritual understanding of our universe. Remember science it mans way to knowledge, religion is MANS way to GOD.

"Why do theists sense so insecure that they conflict to convince others that they are thinking proper?" throw it proper back at ya mate. "so stated as aethists" uh what? "i've got faith that those detrimental everybody is prey to their own techniques" confident i've got faith sorry for persons who think of besides, those detrimental deluded morons. "howdy sense so insecure that they might't describe in words" i admit atheism has no longer something to do with vocablurly the non secular peopele will continuously win there, yet however the atheists sentances make experience. "Who can help them" the persons who provide out the darwin awards

That's not how you spell atheists.
And the truly religious people, although there's very few of them, are growing and changing in a way that science can't explain. And science is ugly.

Religion was only created to explain the unexpected... this has gone to from y the sun shines to oh its a flaming ball of hydrogen gas going through fusion... religion is fake and we all know it.
