cant they get someone else to run the store for them? Christians never close their stores...Easter is always on a Sunday, so its closed already, and even on Christmas they open for half the day.

The Christians close on Sunday, so its fine for the Jewish religion to close on Saturday, I dont mind either they close early on Friday.

Im not bashing any religion..Im just making a point.

If we have someone do our work for us, then we really aren't abstaining from business.
(Kinda like hiring a hitman because someone doesn't want to be responsible for killing someone!)

The law is:
First 2 days:no work besides cooking (Sat. and Sunday this year)
Next 5: Only work that is for enjoyment or irreplaceable is allowed. Some Jews do work, since otherwise they'd lose their job (irreplaceable)
Last 2: Only cooking
And no, we can't have someone else run the store.

America is a country where a Jew can sell a Atheist Zen jewelry for Christmas.

Respect their beliefs, if they believe it correct, then they should do it. I as a Christian admire them. In the bible it says to give God one day. A day has 24 hours and thats what the jews do, give exactly one day to God.
