I am trying to get a gf at school, but I am afraid that she will obligingly go out with me for a bit just to make it seem like a joke to everybody else.
This sort of thing has happened to me before.
Suggestions?

oh, yeah, I don't look that great either.
I have bad acne, I am generally repulsed by the school, except for a few girls who seem to show interest in me

Just be yourself. A lot of times some of the best (and sometimes worst) relationships end up being with friends. Why not just focus on school and if you start liking a girl go from there. Be yourself and be friends with girls and you will probably soon find yourself liking one of them. They will probably reciprocate the feelings and you won't have to worry about the possibility of your relationship being made a joke. So just be yourself and don't worry about getting a gf the time will come when you meet the right girl and you'll know.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

Well I think you need to be yourself and also you need to be friends with a girl before you just ask her out. If you are going to ask out random girls, you will be faced with ridicule. So be friends with some girls before you ask them to date you. That way they will like you, rather then just go out with you because.
