okay-here's my problem: i don't talk to that many guys b/c every time i do it feels awkward and im no good at it-but they act like b/c im shy im not desirable-not to sound vain but most ppl think im really pretty, its just guys that seem to not want me. never had a bf, im kind of left hanging out in this place that's no fun... guys-tell everyone you know- don't date a popular, mean girl, no matter how pretty or how much other guys think they're 'hott' If you meet a nicer, prettier girl, ask HER out-we are better girlfriends by far-not vain, annoying, don't get clingy, aren't afraid to get our hands dirty, not mean to you, make better ex's, and are more respectful to you. how do i find a guy that will like me?

Oh boy, know your situation to well. I was, and somewhat still am very shy person. And like you, guys would look elseware. Usually my blond big breasted, out going friends instead. It sucked, and I hated it. But I moved on, started becoming friends with guys instead. And eventually I gave up looking, and that is when it happened. I found someone who liked me, though I still had to convince him. Though over time, I grew up came into my own. Figured out how to flirt a little bit, and now have found a wonderful man.
The best way, is find someone like you. If you were anything like me, you would look at the shallow guys that would go for those types of girls. Look for someone a little more mature in personallity, that is looking for personallity rather then look. I know I found that, the man I am with now he wasn't anything to spectacular when I first met him. But now, he is the most handsome and sexy man I know after getting to know him.
So just take your time, don't go crazy looking, just be yourself and find other things to occupy yourself right now. And when it is time, it will happen.
P.S. Don't be afraid to ask someone out yourself, never know what might happen.

I think that you are looking too hard. Just relax, and let a guy come to you. And take your own advice. Go for the shy guys, not the popular ones that you get shy around. There is plenty of time to find a boy...trust me. For now, just have fun. Hang out with your friends, do whatever! He will come along...just don't look too hard or you will miss him. Good Luck!

well, to answer your last question...*drumroll* BE YOURSELF!!! dont try to act different so guys will ask u out. And if you are the shy type... well guess what? the Guy that wants u is prob. shy too. Jocks/Popular peoplez always go for the "easy" way out. They dont like to bother with the nice/shy/smart girls. So just, be yourself, and trust me your time will come. Dont get too desperate either because then some stupid guy can ask you out and you'll just say yes and it'l be a big mistake. (lol that happened to me but for me it was some stuck up girl, that was "popular") So, just enjoy what u have and trust me mores a comin'

Well because you are shy the guy's don't really know you, and because you are so pretty, the ones whom have seen you probably feel that you are unobtainable, or they feel that they would become to jealous, as other guy's would constantly be checking you out, and threatening his relationship with you.
If you want a guy to like you, then you have to get past your nervousness, and force yourself to speak with them, once they get to know you for whom you are, then I am sure your problem will dissolve into obscurity, although this problem you are currently having could backfire on you and you will have so many guy's wanting to be with you that you will have to come back to yahoo answers asking how to get guy's to stop chasing you.

Who knows. It's a weird world today. There used to be plenty of available people in the world. It was different. at one time. I guess there still are available people but no one trusts anyone else for some reason. So that makes it hard to get together, doesn't it?

Maybe give the guys more opportunities to ask you out. Give the guys more clues (more obvious) that you like or really like them. Chances are they will make a move.
