Exactly what you just said, you say. Say something along the lines of, "Hey, I think you're a really cool person and all, but I want to be honest with you, and I don't really see you as a boyfriend type, but you're a great friend, so I hope we can still keep it that way."
It's better than saying yes and lying to him, or making him wait forever.
