There is a very good medication for panic attacks, called Verapamil. Ask your doctor. Maybe you could take it for a short time, until this tense time passes away.

absolutely go see a doctor...if you cannot control your attacks by relaxation techniques alone, you may need an anti-anxiety medication. Medications are not the only answer. You must find a way to distract and RELAX....I suffered from major anxiety and panic attacks for some time. I have tried many anti-anxiety meds and have found that in combination with distraction/relaxation techniques and the medication works very well. Also, don't think that the meds will "instantly" take away the attacks. It takes 2-6 weeks for some meds to work. Hang in there!

Go to your doctor. Panic attacks are fairly common in all age groups and there are many different medications that you can take to help. You'll be surprised what 6 weeks on an anti-anxiety medication can do for you. Good luck.

Yes you should see a doctor. My mom's psychiatrist said that her panic attacks can be hereditary. He gave my mom the medication "Ativan," and that totally stopped her panic attacks. There are other medications for it also, so you should get to a doctor, and see what you should take.

You have to meditate my friend. Take a few minutes each day...even several times a day to close your eyes and clear your mind. And yes, breathe. You want things to slow down...right? This will do it. Take the time.

If you are still focused on your environment then all the breathing in the world will not help you. Close your eyes...breath...disconnect from the world around you. It works.

have your liver and kidney's checked. if either one is malfunctioning, the result of that would be toxicity and toxicity causes panic attacks as the toxic waste is not able to be filtered.
i would not consume a food that has fake sugar in it and nothing containing caffiene and see the correct doctors.

good luck
