Nothing wrong with the dentist. Just look at the ceiling and concentrate on a spot. You won't need freezing or gas, which I always refuse. I want to know what the dentist is doing in my mouth.

I used to hate it (bit a dentist at 6 for pulling a not so loose tooth with no numbness, said to my mom no one feels it at that age, I proved him wrong - it hurt!) Then I went to a great dentist who is careful and patient and also makes sure you are numb enough but not like you will be that way all day. He has eyes just like my younger brother, so I watch his eyes and all goes well. I have been going to him for 20 years now and he is better than ever with his expertise and how he treats people. Fabulous! So yes now I look forward to going to the dentist. (He pulled all 4 wisdom teeth at the same time - 2 impacted - and I stayed awake through it all - and it was a piece of cake until the last 10 minutes when the last one gave us trouble as it was so bad - the root was wrapped, so it was a bit more difficult. But he did great with it all, and I had no swelling, bruising, pain, or excessive bleeding - and he took hours to do it but that was okay as it was nice afterward to have no problems).

OK, I am old. Age 54.
When I was a kid, then teener, going to the dentist was a trip to the HOUSE OF PAIN. Especially braces. They would take plyers, wrap stainless steel wires around clips locked onto you teeth, and pull and turn the wires to straighten up your teeth. They ached for days afterwards AND the wires ENDS would cut the inside of your mouth. They gave you wax to cover the wires.
Today is NOTHING like those days. And dentists keep coming out with new things. Such as the tool that breaks up plaque with sound. Really cool!!

I went to the dentist a lot when I was younger. Now that that phase is over, I don't mind going to the dentist every 9 months.

Going to the dentist doesn't bother me. I just hate having to pay alot of money for the work. I have had just about every procedure done that you can except braces.

Heck no I hate it!
I recently had to go to the dentist and get one of my molars pulled. Then two weeks later I had to go back in and get the exact one on the other side pulled!! Yooch!!

I hate going to the dentist, no matter how nice they are. The grinding, the tenseness I feel. And, yeah, I ought to floss...

I just went yesterday for a checkup. I hate when they scrape your teeth with that metal tool and slip and it hits your gums. And I hate when they spill stuff all on your face. No, I really dont' like it but I want to keep my teeth so I go 2x a year!

Yup, especially if she’s hot. I have fond memories of some great visits to this female dentist I knew. Lots of good things happened.
Indeed, great DENTITS (pun & spelling error intended).
