I really like this guy in my English class, but i'm not sure if he's into black girls(he's white). He's a nice guy but kinda shy. I just dont wanna feel stupid if he rejects me.....

What is the old saying no pain no gain. Well it doesn't have to hurt....just try talking to him. He's probably a nice guy. Chances are if he likes you he'll show it in some way by talking back to you (in a nice way). If he doesn't respond well then he isn't worth your time. Color shouldn't matter. I am white and by chance so is my husband but in high school my 2 best friends were black. We had a lot of fun together, I really miss them sometimes. Just remember that at this stage of the game nothing is permanent and don't take anything to seriously. If he turns out to be a jerk don't let his attitude spoil it for all the great guys out there. I know 2 great couples from our church who are biracial one couple he is black and she is white and the other she is black and he is white and they are very happy. It never hurts to flirt a little to find out how he feels! Good luck.

i'm in the same situation as you are! lol i've got my eye on this white (italian) to be specific with blonde hair and blue eyes in my english class. who would have ever guessed he was italian? anyways you should just approach him casually. start of by introducing yourself and telling him a BIT about yourself. don't tell him your life story. guy's freak out when us girls do this. and then ask him a few questions about him. you can say to him "now that you've gotten to know a bit about myself. how about you?" or if you don't want to sound so forward, just ask him some questions in the middle of the convo. for instance if you told him what your dislikes are, you can ask him what his are. ok this is getting long now and i don't want you to feel like your reading an english essay about how you should approach a guy in your english class. lol well good luck and hope this helps! :)

If he's shy, ask tell him that you need to go to the mall to buy a jacket or something and you want him to come along to tell you how it looks. Then tell him how you feel when you are there. Don't just ask him out striaght off or he will say no because he will be too nervous. Just be nice but be direct with him. It sounds like he would be a good b.f. but you'll have to ask him out, tell him how you feel, kiss him first, etc, because he is too shy and nervous to do it first. Really. Just go for it.
PS Don't worry about the race thing... really.

You should just approach him and ask him a question regarding what you are learning in the english class. If he shows an interest in answering your question, maybe ask him if he would like to get together and discuss the class with you over coffee or something else to drink.

You are never going to know if he likes you just as much as you like him, unless you take some iniative, and ask him how he feels about you. But first I would ask him how he feels about black/white relationships, then he if does not like them, you will not have to say anything further, and you will know that he is a jerk, and totally not worth your time! Ask for his number for school purposes, like if ur ever absent. Ask for email. Just start with small talk about school and work in some jokes about whatever and go from there. Good Luck

sweety...try to start conversations..e.g: pretend that you didn't get what the teacher have asked you in the english class and make him explain to you....show him that you are relaxed around him....TO much would scare him sweety....BE YOUR SELF....
and BE CONFIDENT about your race and color.....personally i don't think that color would stop me from loving some one....just relax girl...and be your self

ask him for help, "I don't get this and you seem to be really smart" or something along those lines. On a more regular basis, start a study group and invite him.

What do you care what color he is? Why is it that awkward? Men are into girls, period. If he did care, he's get suspended or something. Chances are, he doesn't care.
