We have chiggers in Northern Nevada. From what I understand they are like a Tick.

yes, they are tiny tiny little red mites that bore into your skin. Also known as no seeums... I am a southerner. When I work in the work, flower beds, or just sit in the grass we get chigger bit. They are not just in the moss that hangs from the trees. They are in grass.

Allow a Southerner to educate you Yankees! Yes, there are chiggers, they are in the moss that hang from our trees. They are so tiny that when they are on you, it looks like a little red dot but they carry a powerful bite and itch.

OMG!!!!yes they have them in the south, they burrow under your skin in little clusters. it looks like you have a heat rash, but they're bugs!!!!! you get them out with nail polish remover. my little brother got them when he was visiting my Grandmother, she put nail polish remover on them and they came out of his skin. they're all over not just the south.

yes, they are little red bugs that bite and bore into your skin. They are prevalent in the south and attack people's ankles especially.

Yep, they're like no see ums. You can't see them very well, it's like a tiny black dot on you that bites the sh!t out of you, then you slap it and it dies....
