Warm the grease, mix in bird seed, freeze in shallow plastic containers and hang outside in the winter for birds to eat.

~*~I know that when some of the other "answerers" read what I have to say they'll probably be screaming, but when I was a child, & even now at 61, we always used hot bacon grease on top of our boiled or baked potatoes just as most people use butter or sour cream. We also used it over cooked spinach, or in the skillet when we fixed wilted spinach or lettuce.
In fact, one of my family's favorite meals is/was:
Fried bacon
Spinach
Boiled potatoes with the jackets on
A dense bread
Milk, Iced Tea, or Hot Coffee
I know, I know.....arteries, etc., etc..........but sometimes you've just got to have something that really tastes good & is filling & satisfying!
If you have a dog or cat, a level teaspoon of bacon grease once a day over their food or piece of bread will keep their fur sleek & shiny & their bowels regular! Now, I'm going to PETA after me, too! lol
Also makes good fuel or firestarter "fluid" for your campfires.

I use it to sautee onions, pepper, and celery (the trinity) for base starters for a lot of my dishes such as shrimp gumbo, beef stew, etc.. It imparts a flavor that you can get nowhere else. In the shrimp gumbo, I use bacon fat for the ruex (a key to the flavor of the gumbo). Also, I season green beans and other vegetables that I cook in lieu of oil.

On thanksgiving, add some honey, cinnamin and natural ham juice or ham bullin to it and drizzle over your ham slices with some green beans. Tastes wonderful.

I use it to flavor my vegetables while cooking them (collard greens, string beans)
I use it to flavor stews (just add a tablespoon)
If you are making a grilled cheese, use bacon grease instead of butter for magnificent flavor

its really good for getting tar off your hands. but then so is go-jo. best to just throw it out cause you aren't supposed to bake with it or anything. i can't have anything but canola oil-doctors orders. otherwise it was used as flavoring for cornbread. but hey, once in awhile spurge and fry an egg in it!

If you don't want to eat foods fried in it, why would you want to eat foods that have had it added? It's unhealthy - throw it away.
