What do you feel the best way is for a parent or parents to work with their adult children to help them find a husband or wife.

These are some ways some people have tried.

Parents advertising and interviewing people for their sons/daughters.
Parents meeting people online to interview for their sons/daughters.
Parents going to a church's single's ministry to meet people for their son/daughter.
Parents arranging marriages.
Parents traveling to different countries, etc.

Those are just a few ways I have heard of parents getting involved in their children's lifestyle choices.

I only want to hear suggestions that include the son's/daughter's permission.

This practice is very common in India. Everything is arranged including a period of courtship to check out if the couple is compatible. The matches are arranged through matrimonial websites, or through friends or newspaper advertisements. When all the required information of the boy or girl namely their family, financial and career backgrounds in particular seem to be agreeable meetings are arranged between the families. Before this photos are also exchanged and if need be detective agencies are employed for vital clues as to the character of the boy or girl.
This has proved in practice to be fairly successful. Also because a lot of community effort has gone into arranging the marriages they tend to be successful.
Divorces mostly tend to be rare and if at all on genuine grounds of incompatibility after all other efforts (and factors are taken into account) at patching up are exhausted.
This helps in preseving a marriage and make it durable to weather many unforseen storms.
Remember even though they are of marriageable age they are still young and inexperienced to take serious decisions and just like in any other field you need expert guidance .. more so in such matters as marriage as it has a life-long impact.

Are you serious? I couldnt imagine doing that to my daughter. I want to think that I raised her good enough for her to make her own decisions on the type of man she wants to spend the rest of her life with. I dont think its a good idea, but thats just my opinion.
