I'm making something for my g/f and I'm going to print a poem in it. I really want to show her how much I love her and how great she is to me. I want it to seem like something someone would actually say though. Not sound like over-romantic pick-up lines

The best thing you can put in there is what's in your heart, in your words.

It's hard to make a poem about some girl we don't know.
The best way to go about it is just to make it yourself since you really know her. Plus, you could also say that you took time to write it yourself. It will mean more to her.
Try listing the things you love about her, even the little things that she does. Then incorporate them in your poem.

You need to write it yourself. Write about her golden locks and her laughter carried off in the breeze. Love poems are always corny, but they're less corny when a significant other writes them. ;D

i agree, you could look at hundreds of love poems, but what will really melt her heart is your own words. don't worry about making them rhyme either. just say what you really want to tell her. it'll be enough.
