i need to do most of my homework on the computer.
COMPTER=EVIL SOURCE OF MY PROCRATINATION
next is the tv.
like when i'm supposed to be researching, i go on aim. or myspace. check my email.
i'm procrastinating right now.
what can i do if i NEED the computer, but the computer is what keeps me from completing anything?

To borrow a line from a Nike commercial- "Just Do It."
Do what you need to do first. That way you won't have that nagging at you while you're having fun. You might find post-it notes useful to remind you of what you need to do first. Then as you finish each task, get rid of the note. And when the screen is clear, go to it!
As for the television, that's easier to ignore when it's off.

It has to be a choice. You make a choice to brush your teeth, comb your hair, and say "Hello". You must now make a choice to do your home work. Leave a note next to the computer that you can easily see that will say something like "Back to Homework !". After every 30-60 minutes of completing some homework, give yourself 10-20 minutes of play time on the computer and return to homework. You may need to get an alarm clock next to your computer to help redirect you back to doing your homework. Best of luck.

set yourself up a new account and put parental controls on it. When you're doing your homework don't allow yourself anything but the sites you have to have to get your assignment done. When your work is done you can sign out and sign back in and surf around as much as you like

I had this problem in school. My boyfriend helped me tho. First break up your research in like 3 different groups.....you have in mind what u want to find. so break it up in small groups...now you have to use some self power to tackle a small research group...but if you break the project up in to little projects you can do one part then play for an hour then do another part.... make sence?

do u have 2 computers in ur house? if so, uninstall aim in one computer and use that one for research and myspace...well...i'm not so sure hehe and just keep in mind I HAVE TO FINISH MY HW
