If you also have eggs, butter and bread, you could make a kind of bread & butter pudding (with apple instead of the raisins).

First, preheat the oven to about 160 C,slice the bread (if it's not already sliced), cut off the crusts & butter both sides. Then peel, core & slice the apples thinly. Put them in a bowl, add sugar and cinnamon & mix well to coat the apples. Get an ovenproof dish (or pie dish), and put a layer of bread in the bottom. Put a layer of apples (or all of them if you're running out of bread) on next, then another layer of bread. Continue this until you've run out of bread & apples, having the last layer as bread, and leaving about 1-2cm clear at the top of the dish.

Now make the custard. Gently heat the milk, remove from heat and add a beaten egg. Add honey to taste and cinnamon if you feel like it. Return to the heat (very low, or it'll turn to scrambled eggs), stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. When it's thickened, it's done, and you need to pour it over the bread/apple combo. Then carefully put the dish in the oven, with a tray of water (bain marie) on the bottom shelf if you like - it's not compulsory - and cook for about 30-45 minutes, or more, depending on the size of dish. It should be slightly browned on top, and lovely and thick and the custard should be set. Eat whilst hot!

Homade Cinnamin Apple Sauce!! Peel and core your apples, cut them into dices and through them into the food processor, mix with a little sugar and cinnamin. Chill it, or eat as is or even warm up. If you enjoy warm applesauce and fancy warm tea, add a tad of milk and a teaspoon of honey with a pinch of cinnamon and sugar. They really compliment each other especially on colder days and nights, and the house will smell fabulous.

Here are a couple to try!

Apple Dumplings

6 or 8 favorite apples (Golden Delicious, Rambo, Stayman)
Your favorite pie crust recipe
Sugar
Cinnamon

Sauce
1 c. water
1/4 stick butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c. honey

Make pie crust and roll out. Cut dough into squares large enough to wrap apples. Peel, core apples. Place each apple on square of dough. Fill hole with sugar and cinnamon. Fold dough around apples and seal. Place in baking dish. Make sauce by bring all ingredients to a boil in saucepan. Pour over apples in pan. Bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees. Spoon sauce over apples while baking.

OR

Honey-Baked Apples

6 large Rome or Fuji apples
6 tsp. honey
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tsp. sugar
pinch nutmeg
1 orange

Core apples, being careful not to cut all the way through. Peel about 1/3 of the way down from the stem end. Combine honey and orange juice; pour into centers of apples. Set in baking dish. Pour a little hot water in bottom of pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until apples are tender. Sprinkle tops with a little sugar and nutmeg. Run under broiler to glaze. Quarter orange slices and tuck them in center of apples after glazing. Makes 6 servings.

I know they have a few extra ingredients such as butter and water, but I assume everyone has these as they are a staple. Still i hope that these work out for you!! Good Luck!!

Cook apple slices til tender with a little cinnamon and sugar (and a tad bit of water so it doesn't burn to the pan). Or if you like honey instead of sugar, use that.

Dessert Pizza Recipe:

Serves 10 to 12

All-purpose flour, for work surface

Pâte Brisée

8 ounces (1 package) cream cheese, room temperature

1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

1 cup seedless strawberry preserves

1/4 cup small fresh mint leaves, for garnish

1. Preheat oven to 375°. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 15-inch circle, about 1/4 inch thick. Fit into 12-inch pizza pan. Trim edges to 11/2-inch overhang; fold under and pinch. Prick bottom all over with a fork. Freeze 15 minutes.

2. Cut 15-inch round of parchment; place in cold crust. Fill with pie weights; bake 10 minutes. Remove weights and parchment; bake 10 minutes more. Cool on wire rack.

3. Stir cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice in large bowl. Whisk preserves in small bowl until smooth. Spread half the cream cheese mixture onto tart shell. Spread preserves on top (do not mix layers). Drop dollops of remaining cream-cheese mixture on top; spread into rounds with a small offset spatula to make “cheese slices.”

4. Bake tart until preserves are bubbling, 20 to 23 minutes. Let cool slightly on a wire rack. Serve, sprinkled with mint.
