He needs motivation, and if he's relying on you for it, then you're setting yourself up for problems and headaches. Don't sell yourself short. You don't have to settle for less than what you deserve in a man. Basic responsibilites in life have not yet been established by this guy. You'll be taking care of both him and yourself. Nothing wrong with that, as long as he's bringing something to the table besides good physical stuff, and you know what I mean. Go to Macy's and look around for a single guy doing some shopping for himself in the men's department - that's where you'll find me most evenings too *smile* . At least you'll know he's got a job.

I should have read this question first before answering your other, I would have to say if he has been out of work for a while and isn't doing much about getting back to work and is afraid of commitment then yikes.. do what I suggested to him that might be the only thing that brings him to reality...

why is he unemployed sounds lazy to me, hes got more problems than you need, tell him to get a job, unless you like taking care of bums -maybe you could get a job at the homesss shelter
