In the course of being a college student, I have found myself downing more coffee than I ever imagined. It has gotten to the point where coffee only works sometimes now. Like, when I first wake up, etc. I went to Walgreens and then to Walmart in search of the "caffine pills" and "energy boosters" only to find diet pills. Whatever happened to the good stuff the gave ya that boost of energy pretty much right then and their. I don't need diet pills or something I have to sart takin 3x's daily for 4 weeks to feel the effect. Does anyone know of a good energy booster? Something I can "pop" or close to it that will give me the present energy burst I yearn for at times where I am up all night studying or doing an essay!? Is their anything that also helps with the drowsy feeling and sometimes the headache that comes with being tired??

Of course, the healthiest way to get energy is going to be to get a good nights sleep. Of course, being in college myself I understand that this is not always or even usually practical. If you can regulate your sleep patterns however, it is important sleep through a full sleep cycle (approx 4 hours...thats why 8 hrs is good you get two sleep cycles) If you wake up in the middle of a sleep cycle you may feel like you haven't rested. If you are looking for cafiene pills or energy boosters I would recommend trying a gas station. I work next door to one and they have a large selection. Depending on the pill they can have the caffiene content of between 1 and 6 cups of coffee. If you do decide to take these pills it is important to drink a lot of water, because you can get dehydrated very quickly. For a more natural approch, an apple is also supposed to be effective for waking you up. Best of luck!

Try a Sobe "No FEAR" energy drink. It comes in a black and red can... the only 'good' tasting energy drink in my experience. Helps to wake me up in the mornings too..
