Pants\undies down (much more effective this way, also you will find you do much less spanking when you make them count like this) , over the lap for about a dozen or good sharp spanks. Or until you feel the lesson is learned.


Someone said spanking pants down is illegal in most states??
A while back someone posted the spanking laws of all 50 states, none that I read said anything of the sort. It is very legal to spank in all 50 states, with each state having there own individual law you should look yours up before hand just to be on the safe side.
The laws which I agree with, mark a illegal spanking to be one that leaves permanent marks, such as welts, bruises, blisters....other then temporary redness.

I spent a lot of time debating whether or not I would spank my children before I had them. I had decided I would not. Now I've found that sometimes there is no other way to get your point across, no matter what other people say. There are some important factors to remember when spanking children. Only spank up to a certain age, five or six I would think. Never do it without pants on, that's illegal in most states. Always do it with your palm open. Firmly but not hard enough to hurt them. Remember, never spank a child when you are angry, be calm and be ready to explain why you did it. That's very important also. If the child doesn't know why they're being spanked, then it does no good. I know there are plenty of people out there that won't agree with this, but if done in this fashion, no harm will come to your child. Trust me, I was spanked as a kid and I'm just fine. A happy mother of two happy mostly well disciplined children.

I'd say one firm swat on the rear (yes still clothed) after giving the child at least one warning and having them sit in time out for one minute for every year old they are (ex. 3 minutes for a 3 year old). If you choose to spank make sure it is not so hard that it leaves a lasting mark. These days so many people think spanking will "hurt their child's self esteem" or "make them feel unloved" to which I say horse pucky. If you use it correctly it is very efficent and a loved child is one that is disiplined. Try reasoning with a 2 or 3 year old...doesn't work well. People need to stop listening to these psycho babbling "professionals" and do what they have to do. I'd say wait until the child is at least 3 before you spank though and don't misuse it. I use spanking as a last resort, but if it has to be done then so be it.

With both my kids, spanking was totally ineffectual and I generally don't approve of it. So many times we tell our kids hitting is wrong, especially when you are angry, but that is all spanking is..hitting in anger. I know many families still use spanking...my family certainly used it when I was young...but I have found that most of the time, parents swat out of frustration more than any other reason. Think about why you want to use that form of punishment and when you would use it most before you make your final choice.

I personally dont think it would be necessary to pull down their pants. I was "swat" them hard enough to get their attention and know that you mean buisness. But dont go overboard.

i do two swats, if there is a diaper, i do it on the thigh so they feel it. Not usually on the bare bottom, unless they are naked. (mine are 2&3 yr old)
