I am not able to access my phone lines. When you push the "talk" button, the phone reads "UNAVAILABLE". I am not able to make or receive any phone calls on it. I have tried unplugging the sets and taking the batteries out but it still won't work. Can't find the original instructions and am at a loss as to what to do. Anyone out there know how to fix this problem or can point me in the righit direction. Thanks.

do you have a "mainbase"...then you can have several extensions....

You have to "synch" the phones first.
This allows them to communicate with each other and feed off of the main handset that plugs into the wall.
If you only have 2 handsets and no plugged one, the handsets won't work.

Hmm, make sure your phone line and power adaptor are plugged into the base unit.
Use a corded phone to make sure you're getting dialtone on the phone jack you plan to use.
Just making sure the simple stuff are attended to.
