Pit Bull Terriers are known as the "Knights" of the Canine family... thus I would choose the name of a knight. Lancelot, Gawain, Cai, Bors, there's many more, look up medivel stories! (I would have chosen a noble name for mine, but my 4-year-old *insisted* on "T-Bone" after Clifford the big red dog's sidekick)

Be careful you don't name you Pit something that encourages the bad rep that they have. Pit's are good dogs name him something with two syllables because dogs respond better to those types of names. Name him a name from a movie you like, then you'll have a good story when people ask you why?

how about naming him something that goes along with his personality.....I have a puppy named "Grunt" cause thats all he does....or name him after your favorite sports player....one of my pits was named after a football player for the TBBuccaneers....."Chidi"..my sister has a chow named for Ronde Barber from the Bucs.....
