i mean do u really have to go to a pop and tell him your hole life story and ask for his forgivness,the pop is a human so he does wrong things right.......so to whom would he confess,
i mean if u need god`s forgivness why not ask god without using an intermediary..........

You don't have to go to a pope or minister to confess ur sins but go to God in prayer and He will wash away ur sins if you repent and ask for forgiveness

Jesus himself when he healed or forgave sins (he even said they were the same thing) afterward told the people "Now, go show yourself to the priests!" He also told the Apostles that who's sins they shall forgive will be forgiven and whose sins they shall retain will remain with them. The priest has the power to forgive sins through Jesus.

Confess to Jesus, he will cover with his blood that he shed for all of us. There is no one on earth that can save you. When you confess, get down on your knees and pray, this will bring you closer even though you are lower to the ground. I don't do this enough myself and by telling you this, I hope it sinks into my head too.
