Student council in 3rd grade is probably like a class rep., his job would be to go to council meetings, contribute ideas and tell his class what happened. At least that's rep's job in our school.

The student counsel is a group of students that is kind of like a government for the class. They meet and talk about issues that are relevent to the class. In third grade, this would might be things about how play time should be organized, but it won't be anything that has a huge impact on the class. Mainly, it just means that the other kids like him enough to vote for him.

As for pace, that depends on your school district. In some places, PACE stands for Positive Attitude and Commitment to Education, and is a special education program for kids with emotional or behavioral problems. However, it could mean different things in differnt school districts. I'd suggest you talk to your son's teacher about what it means.

What school district are you in? Go to their website and read about Pace. Student Council means he was chosen to represent students. It's a good thing. Pace is usually a project is dedicated to the development and application of higher order thinking skills. It is also called a gifted program. It's for smart kids, in other words. I'd go to your school district's page & make sure, though.

First of all, congratulations to your son. Secondly, it's spelled COUNCIL. In third grade, student council means something like a classroom rep -- he'll go to meetings and report back to the class with information. It's good training, really, and also helps teach him to look at the broader picture.
As for pace -- I have no idea what that means. Did you ask him? If he won't tell you, phone the mother of one of his friends at that school and ask her.

Congradulations. That means your son is very smart. PACE and student council are some of the best things your child can get into in elementary school. I did both of those, and I'm really smart. Only smart and responsible people are in PACE and student council.

Wow, Pace at my school means the classes go at a slower rate (their more 'paced'), usually the "badass" kids who slacked off were in those classes, or those who had trouble learning. But this was High School anyways...sounds to me like u got a bright kid!

It sounds like your son is doing quite well in school and pace is short for Professional Acknowledgment for Continuing Education . This should provide you with the information to better understand his accomplishments , congratulations for a good boy !

I tutor third grade. This year I have mostly boys. These honors mean you are doing a good job as a mom. Your son uses manners, does his work, and is liked by others. These positions are used to groom future leaders. The emphasis is on working together to solve problems and communication back to one's friends.

It sounds like your son is very lucky to NOT have inherited your genes. Councle is spelled wrong, I suggest to become a better parent you start having your son tutor you.
