What can I do besides going to the doctor and ask for Rx .. I'm just looking for a cheaper alternative if there is one.

Thanks.

I hate to tell you this, but you have Prunitis, which will turn you into a prune. It starts in the feet and slowly moves up to the head. There is no cure.

However, the good news is that your family can get a good bit of money by selling your body to a prune juice company. After you've passed away, of course.

Hope this helps.

It's hard to diagnose over the internet, but it sounds like you have a serious fungal infection.

Lamisil does work, but it takes a long time. If I'm wrong then what?

No, you really should go to the doctor. He/she needs to take a flake of skin from your feet and look at it under the microscope to confirm the fungus. Then you KNOW that's the problem, and the treatment is correct.

You can start by looking at your diet. Do you eat a balanced diet each day? It is a good idea to get on a multi vitamin no matter what you answered to this question. Also you should probably moisturize daily with a good cream. There is a cream at Shoppers called Eucerin that is kind of expensive but worth it.

Hmm- I can't offer guarantees. But this should help.

Drink lots of water in case you're starting to dehydrate. And look into some oils (I've seen some good ones at a local nutrition store) or medicated lotions, such as Gold Bond.

Good luck!

I went to the pharmacist and he recommended AQUAPHILIC ointment with carbamide 10% by Medco Lab, Inc. works really good for chapped and dry skin. Only thing I found for me, and it was over the counter. Not prescription. Check out medcolab.com

After you shower (at night) put vaseline (heavily) on your feet and put on socks. This contains the moisture and you will see an incredible difference over night. This is a trick I learned by a friend in college.

Go to Target..in the cosmetic department they have quite a few selections of different foot cream. Its like giving yourself a at home pedicure. They are all pretty cheap too.

I'd also recommend giving Arbonne's hand cream and herbal foot cream a try. I've been using them and love them!
The foot cream is non greasy, blended with alpha hydroxy acids to help keep feet soft and supple.

Get a product from the drug store called Corn Huskers Lotion. This will really make your feet soft and will help your nails too. Vicks salve on your toenails will make them soft and kill fungus if you put it on every night and leave it on.

I read somewhere that taking showers too often is detrimental for your feet and that washing dishes without gloves causes nails and hands to get worse. I also read that one should use lotion after washing dishes.
