If your rott knows your pit and has been nice to her before I don't think that he will fight her. Although if he goes and wants to check out the pups then you might have a problem.

Always bring the two together slowly, then if there is a problem it can be resolved quickly. You will know right away if the two adults like each other or not. If the female does not like the male or if the male does not like the puppies then it may be that they may not ever get along. But, there are those special few that in time learn to just get along. So, good luck and be safe and care full.

I'd say be careful if you want to keep the Rottie! Nothing is more dangerous than a mother protecting her young! Really, the rottie will probably try to eat the pups (just animal instinct, not meanness) and you pittie will rip his throat out. (again, instinct, not meanness)

First of all, get your dog fixed. Don't let it have any more puppies.
Second, DO NOT bring an aggressive dog around one that just had babies. The mother is going to be protective and act in a violent way if she feels her babies are threatned. Dogs don't need a "father" or "husband" so get that out of your head.
Come on, if he's only good with some dogs I wouldn't trust him with puppies.
That's my opinion.
Good luck....

If your rottie and the pitbull haven't met before now would be a really bad time to introduce them

I would be VERY CAUTIOUS about having a male rotty around pups and a nursing, protective mom, unless you don't want the pups or the red nose!
In fact, I would avoid it altogether!!!!!!!!!!!

Isolate them from each other but in close quarters at first...then introduce them slowly one at a time...fatherhood may just win out!!! Now...who can resist a cute puppy....?

You should first let them meet on leashes then if they seem friendley to each other then let them see each other off the leash.Just be sure to let them see each other the first few days or weeks on the leash.
