Our local grocery stores don't have them either. A friend in VA is able to buy them there. They are like chocolate chips except that they are cinnamon. My friend says that her store shelves them with the chocolate chips. Good luck!

Hershey Foods manufactures a cinnamon chip. It is similiar to their butterscotch morself or other baking chips but with a distinctive cinnamon flavor. They are wonderful but I, too have a lot of trouble finding them and I live 15 mins from Hershey PA. hehe.
I searched the Hersheys.com site and cannot find where they sell the baking chips online. However, they have a great recipes site if you want to look for more recipes for Hershey Foods products. It's www.hersheyskitchens.com
However, King Arthur Flour has an extensive online shopping catalogue and cinnamon chips are included for sale on their site. Here's the link straight to the cinnamon chips:

The have some other interesting flavors as well... cappucino, cherry and mint.
Happy Baking.
PS: Cinnamon and the Hershey Heath Chips or butterscotch are a great flavor change for 7 layer bars. Use your favorite nutmeat in lieu of the coconut too.

I know everyone else has told you by now, but... cinnamon chips are actual baking chips flavored like cinnamon. If your local store carries them, they will be with the other chips like chocolate and what have you. I know my store doesn't carry them, guess there isn't a demand for them in this area, oh well. Good luck and hope your cookies turn out yummy. Maybe you could share the recipe?

What are cinnamon chips & where can I find them in the grocery store?
I'm trying a new cookie recipe & it calls for cinnamon chips. I could not seem to find them in our local grocery store.

They are like regular cookie chips and should be located in the same aisle as the other baking ingredients. If you can't find them locally, you can also order them from kingarthurflour.com
They carry loads of cookie chips in all kinds of flavors, as well as a wide selection of the chocolate variety. Prices aren't too bad, and they have recipes as well.

They're basically like chocolate chips, but they have cinnamon instead. I believe Nestle makes cinnamon chips. They're tan colored.

They are Hershey's and they should be where the chocolate chips are sold, if you do not have them, I found a site that sells them.
