It sounds like you need to take a break from it for a short time. In the meantime, try Noxema and keep your face clean. Also make sure you clean your pillow cases often, as the oil from your hair will transfer to your face and cause your pores to clog. Best wishes.

Why is everyone using benzyl peroxide? You're the 2nd person today who's asked about it.
Itching or burning means your skin is shouting "Oouch! Stop hurting me!"
*Sigh!* Go ahead! Burn your skin off your face! And mess up your skin's PH balance, too!

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

If your face is itching and buring a lot, try a lower "dose." If you are on 10% go to 5%. If your face gets dehydrated very quickly your oil glands can work overtime to make up for it. If you are using a low dose, try using it every other day.
As I got older and still had occasional trouble with acne, I found b. peroxide too strong and drying for my skin.

If your face is itching and burning, stop using the product immediately.
I'd recommend trying Arbonne's Clear Advantage acne line. It consists of a wash, refreshing toner and lotion.

Acne is most caused by bacteria in the skin....our doctor's office usually recommends using alcohol with 1 cap of an antibiotic mixed in!
A Dermatologist may help...it is covered by insurance most of time.

I've been using it for a while now, but it doesn't burn or itch me; you probably need to use it 1x a day or use it every other day if it's irritating your skin. It doesn't make my face oily.

I don't know how bad our acne is or appears to you to be? My best advice is don't bust spots rinse your face in freezing cold water as often as you can be bothered but always last thing at night and first thing in morning.
Drink plenty of water/juice non fizzy. Go and get a couple of sessions under a sunbed. you will notice a difference soon. I do recommend any medication unless its life threatening.
