Alright, I'd like to be a mortician when I leave highschool, but have no absoulete clue if there is a school for this, or if I'd have to work at a funeral home somewhere in my area. Any mortician's out there that can help?

This is a wonderful career choice, please ignore the ridiculous rambling about how we are cold and all that crap, that is very untrue. At the end f the day, it's just a job. And furthermore, the bodies do NOT sit up, scream or any of those other things that the one person answered. Also, you do not need to go to medical school! You need a degree in mortuary science, I have a diploma in Funeral Directing and Embalming and an Associate's Degree in Funeral Management, totaling 3 years of schooling. I think there is a small program you have to go through in order to me a mortician. Your best bet however would be to contact your local mortician, or coroner, they'll know for sure.
