Do Muslims beleive that Islam is the true religion for all people of the earth, even traditionally non-muslim peoples such as Europeans and East Asians? Also, does the Koran teach free will, meaning that each man is free to choose whether or not he follows Allah? If I were to respect Muslims and their faith but chose a different path, would I be treated as an 'infidel' by them?

i read all the ansers, and most u people are judging the religion based on the image the media is showing of Islam. If you wanna judge the religion, why dont u try going thru the original sources,????? DID YA EVER THINKA THAT? hello. I couldnt be more glad i m a Muslim. Yah, Hell Yah, its true that there are some messed up muslims, who do lie, who do cheat who do drink. but U dunt take those muslims and say ya this is how muslims are and ya this is what Islam teaches. This whole thing abt raping killing and all. try going thru the quran, and chekin out what Islam has really said abt them. There isnt a single religion, a single book, that has answers to any and every question like Islam does. Peopel are just too busy judging it based on what they hear. I mean, Hitler killed like 6 million jews didnt he? Cud I blame chrisitianity for dat? cud i? no, obviously not. why you pickin on muslims, what liek any other person from any other religion hasnt raped or killed? or lied or cheated? You should be aware that there are such people in every community, u dunt pick them up and set them as an example of what Islam is and what MUslims practice. for example if the new model of mercedes comes out and u wanna know how good the car is. and u put a trashy driver in the front and he smashes up the car, are you gonna be like, damn thats a trashy car! heck no ur gonan be like that drivers messed up. Just liek that you should be looking at the quran and the hadeeth to learn abt what islam really is. There is so much i cud say abt islam, leaving u speechless and in a state where u wudnt be able to disagree because it wud be common sence that Islam is the way for all people, but on the other hand who the hell wants to lisson to the truth now adays?

Islam is not for everyone, consult your doctor before use...
Muslims tend to believe that Islam is the true religion, and that therefore they believe that all people SHOULD convert to it. However they don't believe that all people should be killed or converted...
Just as Christians believe that only Christianity is the true religion, and therefore only Christians are accepted in to heaven.... Muslims believe the same thing, (though since the definition of "Muslim" is, one who submits to god, it includes some Jews, Christians etc. Adam, Moses, and Jesus are all considered to be Muslims by Muslims).
I have never heard a Muslim say that all people should be converted or killed. It seems that any Palestinian freedom-fighter is considered to be a "Religious Fanatic" solely because he is a Muslim. Once someone is labeled as a fanatic, no one has to take them seriously...
P.S. I really find this moon god stuff amusing. While it is true that Allah's origin's are from a less then monotheistic religion, the roots of Judaism are also very pagan. I'm an atheist but my grandmother's a Muslim and based on what shes told me, Islam doesn't persecute those who have different beliefs. unlike catholics who say that if your not baptized..which a lot of religions don't do, you go to hell...now I'm not sure if this is true about catholics. my friend told me this. oh and muslims..the real ones not the crazy fundamentalists, believe in peace and they were the first, other than the Persians, who fought against slavery. its a very attractive religion and thats why its growing in number. its also the most modern one so its less superstitious. i hope i helped but if your really interested you can get a translated Koran and read it...its not like any other holy book.
okay i had to edit this because i read all the BS those ignorant bastards wrote about islam and i just want you to know not to believe them...hundreds of muslims have been killed by israeli troops over the years but no one says anything because america is behind israel...this summer over 1,500 Lebanese civilians were killed by Israeli troops...the thing is people around the world have this hatred towards Muslims because of the terrorist attacks that have been going on. Muslims aren't the problem, its the fundamentalists. whether they're Muslims Christans or Jews, all fundamentalists believe they are right and all others are wrong. so to look at only the fundamentalist Muslims and to think all Muslims are like that is ignorant.

You are right, Islam is for all people there is no discouragement, everybody every race and color is welcome. And yes you are free to follow your own religion. Quran says:
"Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects Taghut (evil) and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trust worthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things. (Qur'an 2:256)"
As for the infidel, don't you think you will be an infidel if you do not believe in God? I guess you know the answer.

yes islam is for all people and every 1 is welcomed to join in . if you were to respect islam you would'nt be seen as an infidel trust me iam a muslim and most of freinds are chrisitians . we do belive in free will and you're free to do what ever you want at the end you are responsible for your actions infront of god . however there is a small minority of people who aim to misrepesent islam and give us a bad image infront of people dont belive them you are free to do what ever you want and as long as you are a respectful person no one will see you as an infidel trust me

Yes, Islam is for everyone, and each person is free to choose what he will believe. Punishment of people who reject the faith after learning and understanding is up to Allah, not men, according to the Quran.

Muslims believe that Islam is the ONLY true religion. No other religion should be allowed to exist. Plus, if you do not follow Islam, you are considered an "infidel" and should be killed. What a way to go through life !!!!!!!!

In my POV I think every religion is like that and I also think it is up to an individual to choose a religion that is best for them. Is it even right for us (Non-Islamic) to judge them, when we basically do the same things.
