The path to heaven is sometimes (not all the time) lonely and is usually paved with suffering. The journey is undertaken one step at a time...from faith to faith.

G.K. Chesterton said that good intention is precisely the one thing that the road to hell cannot be paved with.
God judges by the heart.

nice joke time
a rich man gets to heavens gates and is met by peter
he is asked to enter but leave all his worldly belongings
the man refuses , stating he has worked hard all his life for these valuable possessions
after a little debate peter says he will ask God
so he returns and tells the man .. OK you are allowed whatever fits in this suitcase
so the man shuffles about and shuts the case and hands it to peter, looking very pleased with himself
peter opens the case to check the content and has a very puzzled look on his face
the man asks why the look
peter says ... you have brought pavement ?

Uh, we don't think that. Heh sounds kinda weird and wonderful. God supplies us credit for solid intentions. And what can we get for appearing on the point? God counts it as 10 solid deeds. And if we've a bad purpose, that doesn't count selection for something. And if we act on the undesirable purpose? It counts as a million undesirable deed. you may no longer get a deal like that at Kroger, no longer in spite of coupons.

NO. The gate to hell is wide and easy. Many people travel that road, but ends up in eternal punishment. The gate to heaven is small and hard to get in, Happy are those that travel that road to heaven for they are given eternal glory by God through Jesus name.
PRAY!

Karma.
Consideration of "karma" from interaction to interaction to interaction. It takes courage, but it can be strengthened like a habit through time.
And you have to be true to yourself. Whatever really feels most essentially "you". Because God created you with unique purpose, and doesn't want you to throw that away.
Even when it may seem easier, in dealing with everyone, to do so.
