I am tring to lose weight after a surgical procedure. I know water is a good help in this, but the thought of all the water needed in a day going past my tastebuds is a nightmare. Please send any suggestions on how to make water taste better.

Almost all companies that have plain water on the market also have flavored waters. I like Nestle and Fruit 2 0. A very good plain water is Fuji. No after taste and very soft tasting. Good luck on your recovery.

I had a surgical proced to loose weight about three years ago and it was absolutely necessary that I drink water. I agree...yuck! There is no good trick. Flavor waters are okay but let's face it, they are flavored water which will wear thin on you fast too. I just made a commitment to drink one bottle of water before 10 a.m., one before 2:00 p.m., one before 6:00 p.m. and one before I went to bed. You can do it, I know you can.

Try Perrier water. It taste like normal water but the difference is that it's sparkling water. You could squeeze in some lemon and perhaps a little drop of flavoured syrup to make it more appetising.

You can add the Crystal light flavor packets to the water. Or make tea. Flavored water is good. A squeeze of lemon or lime is good too.
You could eat watermelon for water intake too.

Try flavored waters - carbonated or uncarbonated. They also make the little individual packets of powdered "flavoring" that you can add to a bottle of water. There's several brands - Crystal Light is one, and you can get different flavors, like lemonade, fruit punch, tea, etc.

I like adding things like fruit to my water. I like lemon water especially and it helps to gently cleanse your digestive system.
I've also heard that you can freeze some fruit juice cubes and put those in your water to snazzy it up. The colder the water, the better. I don't really like drinking it at room temperature. I prefer bottled water over tap. But I always put it in a cool looking glass, like a cocktail glass or something. That tricks me into thinking it's a "drink". Good luck to you!

Your question and comment make you sound ignorant. Water has no taste and is the best thing for you. Your body is made up of about 70-80% of water. You need to start reading about the body and how to benefit your health.

Drink the fruit juice water. Like the flavored stuff, but you hafta be careful cuz NORMAL water has no calories, whereas when you add stuff to water, it adds calories.

add lemon juice. Try getting used to drinking water really cold with lots of ice cubes - don't let it get tepid. That's the only way I get through the day with all my water.

try crystal light, the flavor is good, low in sugar and calories.., or try propel fitness water, there are a lot of flavored water out there.. i would suggest drinking it out of a straw, it is easier to drink and it doesn't feel like everytime you put the cup or bottle up to your mouth you are resenting it...
