petsmart has a spray solution that you can spray on your lawn and on your furniture to keep animals out of places they aren't supposed to be. It's relatively cheap and effective. I've used it before to keep a cat off my patio and it worked for me.

Well it is possible to potty train your dog. Train your dog to go in the tall grass or an asigned area just for that pourpose. We did and it was wonderful! Especially in the wintertime.... brrr!

maybe get them in the habit of going to only one section, and sand box, but i 've heard some people say they trined them to go to only one area of their yard that way you where the piles are !
