depends what your eating. i mean if your eating burgers and fries all the times then yeah your shortening your potential life span. by doing that your are causing fatty tissue to build up inside your arteries which lead to high blood pressure and there are plenty of problems that link off of that. check out www.webmd.com

another suggestion is when you go out eat a grilled, not fried chicken sandwich and don't get the fries or try to substitute a side salad for it. you're still at your fav restaurant but you are eating healthier. also avoid sodas as much as possible.

When I was young and had money cholesterol hadn't been invented yet. I used to go to McBurgers for lunch every day. I used to be able to go to Burger Queen and eat a double Whomper with cheese like substance, a large fries, onion rings, and a large drink and I never gained an ounce. Now I only go to fast food places once a month or less. I just don't enjoy it the way I used to and I'm no longer a teen-ager with a high metabolism so any extra calories turn right to fat.

I never eat at fast food. OK, maybe once a year. I eat all my meals outside. I wish I could cook at home, but it is nearly impossible if you live with a bunch of roommates and if the main person on the lease is obsessed about clean kitchen. Can't afford to move.

It is pretty bad to eat out al the time, for one simlpe reason - you never know what they put in your food. Restaurants tend to put as much oil and grease as they please because it enhances the taste of food. Many places use artificial taste enhancers like Monosodium Glutamate (MSG). MSG is naturally occuring in seaweed in small quantities, but when added artificially in massive quantities it's not good for you. It gives really bad headaches to many people. For many people, it makes them hungry soon after the meal so they end up eatig again and overeating as a result. This usually leads to weight gain.

Bottom line - you never know what's in your food unless you cooked it at home.

I don't eat fastfood....it is bad for my health and my wallet!
And there is no reason why people cant cook their own food at home....at least you know what goes in it which is never the case in restaurants, and in the long run, it is a long cheaper and better for your health. Plus, it is a nice hobby where you can use your creativity and imagination......
