I started using this new facil scrub a week ago, and now I stopped using it because it started to dry out my skin waaay too much. I have dry, flaky skin all over my chin, and on the corners of my mouth going up to about my nose. I have devoured it in lotion, and it gets all flaky so I peel the dead skin off. Now it's been dry like this for a while, and I was wondering if anybody had some tips that I could try at home, without having to go to the store and buying something that could help my skin clear up and get back to normal faster??

try a very gentle soap and do not overwash, only once a day (preferably at night). A light coating of Vaseline will help the extra flaky stuff. Sounds like you are doing way too much way too often.

You probably had a allergic reaction to the substances used in the facial scrub. You've stopped, so that's good. You may be sensitive to Benzoyl Peroxide, an acne ingredient. Don't use BProx higher than 2%. 10% does not necessarily work better and will irritate the areas around the eyes.

I would not recommend lotion because that's usually for the body, where the skin is less sensitive. The lotions also have preservatives, so I personally tend to avoid it. Try using pH balance. You can also resort to washing your face only twice a day. One in the morning, one in the evening.

I recommend using A Cute Derm (http://www.skincareful.com/catalog/) or Neutrogena.

If you want some homemade tips, take cucumbers or watermelon peels and let it rest on your face for 15 minutes. (like a facial mask) You can also use aloe to heal your skin.

Hope this helps!
