at least your 3 year old is intersted. My 3 year old son could care less about it. What ever you do don't use candy or any treat of any kind! Use a lot of hugs and kisses.

Potty training is a slow process, especially with boys. Keep encouraging him, asking after eating and drinkning if he needs to go, and he will ge there!
Also, I recently bought a new potty seat for my son, that is just for boys. It's a Visioneer Peter Potty urinal trainer. Why teach them to sit down, then stand up again? It has gotten rave reviews and is supposed to cut up to 6 months off of potty training, so you may want to check this out as well.

Poopy candy. Get little Hersey's Kisses and that is the treat for potty in the toilet. I tried everything then a friend told me this. Worked like a charm. Told my sister and when her daughter turned 3 and understood the reward concept it worked really easy ofr her too. THey need to understand what the urge to go bathroom means first and 3 seems to be the time.

I have told this to many young moms on here. Get a coffee can and let the boy go in it! They love the tinkle sound and then let them pour it into the commode. That is fun for boys, they think like men! When you have to go somewhere in the car make sure to take your can and lid. He can go in the car and empty it when he gets home! That way there is no excuse for him to wet his pants and you will have him trained sooner without interruptions in time.Make it a game and keep it fun!You might even paint the can or put his name or favorite cartoon sticker on it to make it his special potty can! Praise him when he does go and don't say anything when he wets his clothes other than you will get it next time.If he recieves more attention for using the potty he will use it more.Best wishes!

don't rush him just let it happen by it's self. just keep encouraging him to use it and give him a little treat when he does and than he will be out of a pamper in no time. Just so you know I did that with my 2yr old and now he is potty trained, he even wakes up at night and goes.

Dont rush him but put him in big boy undies. He will start to feel ickie peeing and pooping with out a diaper and will want to go in the toilet after awhile. All kids ore differant and it will be a lot easier if he dose it in his own time!!

I am training my daughter right now, and I've found the best way is to just put underwear on them and they won't go too long that way..most kids go crazy when it gets on them, and it motivates them to go in the potty. Good luck.

Drawing a face on a ping pong ball to put in the toilet giving him something to aim at. - It won't flush so it's ok to leave there for a while.
Make his own step to use and let him help paint it in bright colours.

Plenty praise helps a lot. Kids love to know that people around them are proud of them. Even if he doesnt go, praise him f2or trying, he will love it and eventually nature takes it s course.
