A relationship over the Internet is fine IF you are old enough and mature enough to understand how to protect yourself.

Falling in love over the net is not good. I mean the other person could be anyone. That is one thing bout the net is you dont have to be who everyone knows you as. You can be someone totally different. I would definately have say its more along the lines if lust or a strong liking. Im not doubting your feelings but make sure its love. Love is a very tricky thing. Ya people see all the commercials of people gettin married after they meet off the net and things like that but its better to actually meet someone not off the net.

It is very common for a person to fall in love with someone on the internet. You are typing, so you can always "take back" (aka the delete button) what you are about to say, and you can carefully plan what you say as well. i've heard of a lot of people that have done it. however, it sometimes is dangerous to meet them. make sure you know them very well would be my advice and perhaps even wait a long time to do it. and from what i've heard from some of my female friends is usually to be careful if the guy wants you to come to meet him, and offers to pay your way, especially early in the "relationship"

It's normal to fall in love with someone on the internet, just make sure the person has been upfront and truthful about everything.
Also, are you falling in love with the character that he displays on the internet, or the real person?

Well, let me tell you my story. I made a myspace and instantly, this guy started to talk to me. I know he was a total dweeb but I was just being friendly. Within 2 days, he changed from really nice guy to some obsessive freak. So, I had to change my myspace and block him. Instead, he made another one to harass me! I ended up deleting my entire myspace and I had to block him on aim. Honestly, leave it alone. Talking to people on the internet is risky business.

It's really hard to tell these days because anyone can put up a front behind a computer!
If anything, if you're going to meet this person, I suggest somewhere in public and with a few friends going along with you.
