She states that she didn't have her phone today. I am a bit suspicious because when I called her I was forwarded to her answering service within 2 rings (she has cingular). I also thought that maybe if the phone is not in service at the time, the call may be automatically forwarded within a few rings. Just checking. She didn't seem over zealous to have me come over this evening either. Hmmmm....

If the phone was turned off you would have been fowared too her Voice mail with out rings. and if she was on the other line and she didnt answer it would have been 7 rings. The main thing you should go by is your gut. If you have any Reason to believe that she is messing around or you feel that something is wrong 9 times out of 10 there is something wrong. Good luck

If this happens all the time then I would wonder, but an isolated happening isn't much to worry about.
The world is really a different place sinse Caller ID. I constantly see people looking at ID and then not answeing and it makes me wonder how many people do that when I call. This makes the world more complicated. It sets us up for questioning things.
Maybe even making it hard for some people to lie.

She's probably not lying, maybe her battery wasn't charged and thats why it was forwarded to her answer machine after a couple of rings. But if she claims to not have her cell phone on her a lot then she's lying.

Seems like shes out cheating on you and the reason why you hear a few rings and it forwards to her answering service, is because shes out cheating on you and clicking the IGNORE button.

Maybe she is, maybe she isn't. Do you have any reason not to trust her? If this is the only thing then don't worry so much.
She could be having a bad day and maybe didn't want to talk to anyone at that time.

Yep, she's getting her freak on with someone. I would keep calling her phone and leaving messages. The best way you can keep your women is to constantly be suspicious of her actions.
