I have looked up the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, but this is not it! it's basically stomach blowing up a bit after eating meals, n some uncomfortable feeling as if u need to "pooh" to feel normal again..this is different than irritable bowel syndrome in that u do not continuesly feel as if u need to use the bath room, it's just an uncomfortable feeling, after eating meals that prevents an individual from getting up n going around as s/he would normally would. The symptoms go away after about 2 to 3 hours after the meal has been eaten.

The first answer seemed the most apparent, but my question would be - do you actually HAVE to go to the bathroom after a meal, or is it just you THINK you have to go after every meal?

I have a weird problem around food. I ALWAYS feel very ill after eating, especially when nervous.

My own personal advice - try the Gas X for possible bloating, but keep Imodium or Pepto with you so that after you eat, you can take these so you don't have any anxiety that you have to GO. Imodium will make it damn near impossible for you to actually "poo", and the Pepto "soothes as it coats".

Good luck. I do feel bad

Get some digestive enzyme tablets or papaya tablets and take several with each meal. Or, take a tablespoonful or two of cider vinegar in a couple ounces of diet 7-up or apple juice with each meal. Low stomach acid can cause bloating. Undigested food is fermented in the gut producing lots of gas (the gas-x is a good idea here). Enzymes will help digest the food and reduce the discomfort. Good luck!

Try talking to a doctor or looking for things on the Internet.
depending on how long this has been going on you may just be under pressure.

It's called bloating!

Get some Gas-Ex and/or Beano at your local drug store.
