I have seen them around at my high school. They seems to be cold toward pretty everyone but those who are in ROTC. Many of them seem to be ultra patriotism and are very defensive of military and USA.

They have been known to do curel thing to those who insult others that have military as a family member. One time one of the cadet go up to this guy who told other guy that his brother deserve to die because he was in military. The cadet end up hurt him really bad and it was so quick.

Is this normal or not? They make me sorta uneasy especially those who are on excrise team or rifle spinning team they seem to be the meanest of all.

Sounds to me like you barely know any of the cadets. How about spending a few days with them and getting to know them before labeling them as sadistic. The teams you've described are teams that require precision and focus... also known as discipline. As much as I don't condone the physical force the cadet took against the idiot that made the familial comment, I applaud the cadet's swift and precise ability to end the confrontation and get the proper message across.

Your description sounds like you went to a zoo and "observed" a tiger for 5 minutes and you're passing off those observations as fact, when in actuality, you're so way off the mark it's not even funny.

Open your mind and understand that these ROTC cadets will (may) be attending either a military academy or another college while in the collegiate ROTC program and joining the military to protect YOUR rights. So how about a smidgen of respect and thanks for what they are trying to do instead of false judgment for what you think they may be like?

First what's so wrong with being ultra patriotic? That's anti-Constitutional rhetoric. Don't they have freedom of speech and same rights to their opinions that you do? And so what if they want to defend the Military and America. They have every right to do that, just as you have the right to be anti-Military and Anti-American (judging from your post).

It sounds like normal high school antics. Some smart mouth punk getting their butts kicked by someone bigger and stronger. It is normal. If you feel so uneasy about it maybe you should ask Mommy and Daddy to put you in a private school.

That's not normal at all to me at least! I dont think what that guy said to someone elses brother about deserving to die is correct either. Alot of the ROTC members that I used to go to school with pretty much blended in with everyone else. We never had those kind of problems. Just don't associate yourself with them I guess?? In the end the choice is yours. GOOD LUCK!

Well is it normal to say someone desrves to die because they are in the Military. Wishing death upon someone isn't something that most people take lightly. I would hurt someone who said someone in my family deserved to die. But you are so narrow minded you think the one who stood up for his family member is the one who has the problem not the one who said someone deserved to die. By the way you asked why are ROTC Cadets sadistic. Well saying someone deserves to die because of a legal profession they have chosen to do is pretty sadistic. Open your eyes and see who is really sadistic before you start casting stones

It depends on the people, like I am patriotic and some day willing to enlist depending on the situation of the world... But if some one talks **** about people who sacrifice or put their life on the line to protect others, then I will go and argue on why they think they deserve to die... But I dont punch or hit unless they start calling me names and pushing me around... But be nice to them, honor what they are doing to our country, and if you make fun of it, then of course your going to get hurt... It's the same with everybody, dont single them out because they're in the military -.-... For example, if your dads a policeman who works hard to enforce the law.. and I come up and say policemen are fat from eating donuts all day with their coffee at the bar... I'm guessing you would be pissed.. Or I make fun of your dad who died saving a little 6yr old girl and then I come up and say, policemen dont do nothing, they just catch traffickers.. See the pattern here?

While he should stand up to the guy who made the comment, he shouldn't have hit him. In the military we demand more discipline than that and had he been a soldier, he could face punishment up to and including removal from the service.

The way you describe those ROTC guys reminds me of the Hitler Jungen from the 1930s and '40s.
