Never fails around here. Atheists attacking Christians for what they believe. Why do they care? Me, I'm no Christian. But l don't believe in Santa Claus either. Should I ridicule children for their beliefs? But, in all fairness, the Atheists who do redicule seem a bit stupid. That's probably all there is to it. Hell, answered my own question. Never mind.

some atheists are atheist BECAUSE ..... you have to wonder why these people are the way they are. not ALL atheists attack someone for their beliefs...i myself dont believe in any God or anything like that...i dont appreciate getting preached about it either...but ill sit and listen as long as it doesnt seem like im getting pressured to believe. perhaps, did you ever think these attacking atheists might be friggin tired of hearing all these dam christians and **** threatening them with "hell" and being "sinners" and crap!? atheists are on the attack...but so are christians, catholics, jehovah witnesses buhdists jewish...******* EVERYONE attacks one another over religion its ridiculous! since when is it SO HARD to accept one persons personal beliefs..whether it be in a GOD or ones self will?! its like middle school..everyone nik picking at you for ANYTHING you do that is different. WAH..get over the whole religious freak out and live your own dam lives how you want to live it!
i agree though...a lot of atheusts dont know what they're talking about simply becuase their to dum to go and research religion so they dont sound like retards when trying to argue against it. HELLO! it helps to know what your talking about when your in an argument...especially if you start it :|

Oh like the Christians are not in the majority in some countries like mine, like everyone else doesn't put up with a lot of crap from them because of that. So on this site...then well boo hoo. If it's so bad, they CAN go do more with their time after all. Maybe some atheists do 'attack', but the large majority post in defense of the group, and some do like to poke fun at believers like any minority does to a majority. So there.

P.S. If this is all Christians have to complain about here, being "attacked" (or better called just being "picked on"),then well you're all doing pretty good not aren't ya? SOME groups of people in this world have a lot bigger, harder, sadder issues to deal with!

Why are Christians always on the attack?

You did answered your question when you compared messing with christian for believing in god to messing with children for believing in Santa Clause. Believing in god is the same as believing in Santa in the logic of it (or lack of).

Just take a look at the answers you got to see why we feel that reality needs defending.

Seriously, is there anyone who STILL thinks Hitler was an atheist? He did it all in the name of Christianity - find a history book.

We are not on the attack, we are on the counter-attack. It is the Christians who are trying to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down our throats and considering that the end goal of their beliefs is the imminent destruction of the world, they must be eradicated before they make it happen.

Ever hear the phrase, "You can dish it out, but you can't take it"? That's what is happening when you make this statement. Christian fundamentalists have been on the attack for years now, trying to deny rights to homosexuals, trying to outlaw abortions, trying to keep women from obtaining equal rights, and trying to impose their own morals - many of them non-biblical - on the rest of society. Non-Fundamentalists are finally fighting back by speaking out against their campaigns, their media onslaughts, and their mistaken notions of truth, and the Fundamentalists don't like it very much. They can dish it out, but they can't take it. So when people of good conscience stand up for their rights, Fundamentalists cry foul - they claim they are being persecuted.

It does seem to me that Athiests that I know are upset by people of faith. That is something I cannot understand. You don't believe in any kind of higher power. OK...move on. Many people find a great deal of comfort in their faith, and not all Christians use their religion as a club. They think religion is foolish or misdirected? I want to know why they care. That's something I don't get, either.

Guilt. Something is bugging them like an ember in thier gut. Its guilt from living a life with no meaning, or consequences of action. If there is life, and God creates life, then God must be in all of us. They feel the uncomfortable beckon of the Holy Spirit and it drives them to anger.

People always try to call other people stupid. It is superiority crap. It is very stupid and a waste of everybodys time. If they don't believe in it they should just let it go and foreget about it.
