i have really long hair and im thinking of donating like 20 inches to a cancer society.........................theres a web site but i dont know it

I believe its along the line of "locks for love" or "locks of love"? You might want to goggle it or call the Cancer Association. This this a very noble idea and is great since it's Cancer Awareness Month! Good Luck! Sorry, I couldn't be of much help. :)

locksoflove.org is for the organization Locks of Love. My friend donated there and it is an organization that makes wigs for cancer patients.

I would try today.msnbc website-a few months ago Ann Curry cut off her hair on the air to donate-I bet they could hook you up.

You can just call your local salon or barber shop and ask them if they do that. Most places will sent it to them with your name if you tell them ahead of time that's what you want.
