You could also get her a nice blanket - hospitals are usually very cold, and when you're on chemo you tend to lose a lot of weight, which makes you feel colder. Also if the hospital will allow you, I'm sure she'd really appreciate a friend with her when she starts chemo. It's a pretty scary situation.
