im a single 40year old london guy,im quite shy and not into pubs or clubs,apart from dating agencies is there places i could go to meet genuine females

I'm just as shy as you and don't like the bar scene. I also wondered where to find guys who are real. So I joined groups that I like. The church choir, a softball team coed, bowling league, a political campaign, and others. So you might try that. In all truth though I just haven't found a guy that I'm interested in and one day he'll come along and whoa-la. I really hope the best for you! Good luck on your quest!

Depends on whom you want to meet. Try signing up for dance lessons (girls usually out number guys by a large margin). Or join a gym and take an aerobics class. Or hang out at the bookstore.
